JACOB EDDINGS

I’m a UX Designer with a focus and passion in Visual Design. I graduated from Washington State University Vancouver with a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Technology and Culture and a minor in Psychology. I’m very detail oriented, motivated, and timely and can quickly learn and adapt in new environments thanks to my previous roles at two startup companies.

At the time of writing this, I’m currently finishing up Google’s UX Design program on Coursera. This program has been incredibly beneficial and I’m happy with the products I’ve created during my time in this program.

I was born and raised in Battle Ground, WA and have worked a remotely for the past 2 years, so I’ve learned how to communicate and work effectively as a team while working a remote position.

Now enough with the professional introduction, let’s learn a bit more about me…

WHO AM I?

I’m 23 years young and married to my high school sweetheart. We have a wonderful English Lab named Astro. We love to travel (not actually flying though… just getting to the destination) and explore all that this amazing world has to offer. Our favorite place to go is Northwestern Canada because I love cold weather and they have great food.

When I’m not working on design projects, you can usually find me mopping the competition in video games or getting mopped by the competition on the Golf course (lookin’ at you, dad.).

I love all kinds of music, shows, foods, you name it. I’m always eager to try new things (I ate Alligator once… it was kinda good) and I love to learn and expand my knowledge and skills.

    o Conceptualized and built company website from scratch using WordPress and Elementor.
    o Created wireframes, low-fidelity, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma.
    o Utilized UX Design best practices to create a user-centered and user-friendly online web experience.

    o Recreated the company’s existing website to attract more leads.

    o Created wireframes, low-fi/hi-fi prototypes, and mockups for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens in Figma.
    o Designed a product for social good to provide free education to users with little to no income.
    o Created personas, user journey maps, and conducted usability studies to iterate on my designs.

    o Designed a pet adoption flow for an animal shelter following the Design Thinking Framework.
    o Created wireframes, low-fi/hi-fi prototypes, and mockups for both mobile and desktop screens in Adobe Xd.
    o Conducted usability studies, created user journey maps and personas, and iterated on designs using user feedback.

    o Designed a bouquet preview app for a florist following the Design Thinking Framework.
    o Brought the product from idea to reality through building wireframes, low-fi/hi-fi prototypes, and mockups in Figma.
